We are pleased to be hosting the 10th Annual General Meeting of the WSBA, (Wedmore Small Business Association) on Friday 18th December 2015.
For those of you new to the WSBA, it doesn’t actually exist of course, nor is it purely open to small businesses, nor for that matter do you need to work in Wedmore – but aside from these minor details, a hard core group of (usually) small, (usually) local businesses meet once a year for a few Christmas bevvies. And the WSBA would be delighted to welcome you and anyone else you think may be interested, as new members.
Membership costs from as little as a pint of beer and a bag of crisps, and provides far too many benefits to be listed here.
If the last few years are anything to go by the meeting will kick off around 1:00pm at The New Inn, with a motion to saunter over the The George generally being posed at around 5, 6 or 7:00pm, an idea generally ignored by most present. Throughout the meeting the agenda will largely consist of beer, darts, skittles and various other games, with a little tactical pub grub along the way to help keep everything settled. You will be reassured to know that among the many house rules that would be enshrined within the WSBA’s constitution, were there to be one, is the stipulation that no actual business should be discussed.
We hope to see you and anyone else you’d like to ask to join up, but if you can’t make it not to worry. We’ll no doubt catch up soon. Happy Christmas in advance!
