Butcombe Brewery, Wrington, Somerset
A regular at The New Inn, Butcombe Bitter derives from pure Mendip Spring Water… notably bitter, clean tasting, refreshingly dry and distinctive. Made with 100% best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls Royce of malts), together with a blend of (never divulged) English hop varieties. Butcombe Bitter is a moreish Mendip masterpiece!
We regularly have a choice of three or four ales on tap, typically crafted by micro-brewers who are as passionate about beer as we are – often based within a 20-mile radius of the pub. If you like your beer, you’ll like it here!

We are proud to be a CAMRA pub and are passionate about the beers we sell to our customers, and that’s why we have an ever changing roster of guest ales available.
Amstel Brewery, The Netherlands
The distinctive, golden, Amstel beer with its mildly bitter taste and excellent quality has become widely known around the world.
Peroni Brewery, Italy
The UK’s number one Italian lager Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a premium beer, with 5.2% ABV, brewed using the finest spring-planted barley, malts and hops. The taste is refreshing and dry, with a delicate aroma, which comes from the use of an exclusive variety of hops, making a crisp lager for the knowledgeable and demanding consumers.
San Miguel Corporation, The Philippines
San Miguel is brewed using a special mashing process which gives the beer a fuller and slightly sweeter flavour. It’s a refreshing, full bodied beer with a great taste. San Miguel is a pilsner style lager, golden in colour, sparkling with a generous white creamy head.

Created to celebrate 275 years of cyder making by 8th generation brothers Barry and Henry Chevallier Guild. Fruity, dry, racy, thirst-quenching and lip-smackingly great! British Bottlers’ Institute 2011 (Gold), International Cider Challenge 2014 (Silver), Cool Brand 2014/5.
Ashgrove Farm, Wedmore, Somerset
Old Jollop is made by hand by friends who came together to produce small batches of cider that is true to Somerset’s cider heritage, whilst delivering a refreshing drink that’s very different from the mass produced alternatives. The name Jollop is an old Somerset word for medicine. Local farmers, at the end of a long day in the fields would stop by the cider barn for a ‘drop of old jollop’ to help their aches and pains!
Myrtle Farm, Sandford, Somerset
Thatchers Gold is full of flavour made with specially selected apples, many of which are harvested from the family orchards locally to us here in Somerset. Made using traditional techniques and expertise gained since 1904, this crafted medium dry cider has a smooth and refreshing taste.
